The Livingston County Preservation Society (LCPS) launched its Century Plaque project in August of 2021. This program recognizes and celebrates our buildings that are 100 years or older and still standing!
We are proud to announce our first Century Home at 324 Washington Street, belonging to Matt & Ashley Gabrielson. Their Maybee Mansion was built by J. R. Blackman in 1919.

If you own a home or commercial building that is 100 years old or older and want a plaque, please submit documentation/proof, an application form (print, complete, scan), and the fee for a plaque (see the form). Email the documentation and the completed application to [email protected]. You can pay by check; please mail to 107 Locust St, Chillicothe, MO 64601. Alternatively, you can pay via Paypal.
Once accepted, your building will be added to our database.
We will order the plaque and have it shipped to us once we have all the needed items above. We will notify you when the plaque is available for pick up. The property owner will be responsible for installing the plaque on their building.
If you need help researching your home, you can watch this video. For further help, please contact the Livingston County Library.
